	© Yelena Zhavoronkova Photography		NEEDLE MOM We made this small needle pillow together. First, she embroidered the “Bulgarian Cross”-style ornament, following a simple stencil on a piece of canvas. Then, after sewing the pillow at the sides, I filled it with small cotton balls. Finally, we weaved a thick silk black rope, which she sewed around the pillow with a small hook. It still works as the best needle pillow for me. 8/22
